Help! What turbo size is best 1gfe?
by Squint, 21-04-2022, 08:10 AM
Need some advise on what size turbo I should fit to my 1gfe 6cyl engine. Im not after massive power and I only want to run 5psi max as I still want it to be reliable. I was thinking of using a gt30 with an a/r .70 compressor and a/r.48 exhaust housing. Im thinking of using this size for a number of reasons.
1:a big compressor looks awesome, also Im modifying the bonnet so you see the turbo through the top of bonnet.
2:a big compressor will create boost quicker in the hoses/inlet/intercooler etc reducing turbo lag.
3:the exhaust is small enough to reduce any turbo lag but bit enough for good BHP.

So what does anyone think? Is this size any good? what experience has anyone with a turbo 1gfe had? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers guys

Bodykits
by 350zLad, 20-04-2022, 05:44 AM
Hi guys, I'm after a bodykit for my 350z and I found this one that I love the look of:

http://www.madmotors.co.uk/bodykits-spoi...y-kit.html

But I've been told that fibreglass bodykits are poor and sometimes don't fit quite right and because this kit is so cheap it'll be very poor quality though I have emailed the seller several times and they have assured me that it will have a good fitment and is a very high quality fibreglass.

What do you guys think?

Cheers

A message from the admin to our members
by Lexuspat, 16-04-2022, 01:22 PM
To all of OutlawJapClub Members.

With us now entering the 2014 show season, the admin team would like to inform you of what changes are happening with future events for OJC.

In past years the admin, from there own pockets and funds, have purchased show tickets well in advance to secure stand locations and tickets for you the loyal members.

This however often left the admin team with either excess unsold tickets, or large amounts of money expended many months before shows and not recouped until the show itself in many cases.

For OutlawJapClub to move forward we need you, the members, to purchase your tickets well in advance for show dates. This will allow us to secure the excellent stand positions we enjoy at many shows, and ensures we have a stand of sufficient space for our members to show their pride and joys in all their glory.

The admin will continue to insure that event information is available to you as far in advance as we can, to keep you upto date with events.

So now when you buy your ticket for an event through the club we then purchase your show ticket. This is why events now have closing dates for tickets to allow the admin to buy and send out your allocation in a timely manner, and ensure our stands are of an appropriate size.

Also, recently there has been a few questions as to why our ticket prices are marginally more expensive than buying direct from shows. This additional cost covers multiple costs to the club. These include having to buy a bulk of tickets to guarantee stands, and therefore additional postage to individual members; consumables used by the club at various shows, from simple BBQ gas to replacement parts to club items damaged during shows (be it by the weather or accidents); and also buying new items for the club including marquees etc.

We hope all of the above shows how open and honest the club wishes to be with its members and how we the admin team need the members assistance to keep the club growing year on year as we have been doing!
Finally, If there are any questions dont hesitate in asking the admin team for clarification or advice.

Newbie built 800BHP is200, now building a sportcross
by Squint, 14-04-2022, 07:57 AM
Good morning everyone Im new to forums to bare with me lol Im been building unusal performance cars for 18years but never used a forum? I built a 800BHP is200 last year but had to sell it to move house:thumbdown: Im now the new owner of a Sportcross which I have big plans for! watch this space! Iv only owned it 3weeks but its coming along nicely, Here's a few pics of my previous cars and now the sportcross. Cheers

Heres my first is200
[Image: iphonepics268.jpg]

The first mod fit and airfilter
[Image: iphonepics358.jpg]

The Lexi was to slow, and supercharger kit are exspensive so I designed and fitted my own supercharger kit including bracket etc all DIY made.

I hate the plastic inlet manifold so I made my own, I think im the only person who has ever done this on a 1gfe engine???

Also decated the manifold
[Image: iphonepics377.jpg]

Car needed a respray so I did it myself using Plastidip
[Image: iphonepics566.jpg]

I was bored of the supercharger it was to slow so sold the complete engine and everything for £2600 and brought myself a 1JZ engine to slot into place:thumbup:

Obviously before fitting the 1JZ engine I fully rebuilt it, Including Lightening, Balanced, Race Bearing etc etc etc
[Image: iphonepics196.jpg]

After many many hours the engine was finally fitted and running
[Image: iphonepics116.jpg]

Now the car just needed a respray so went with Textured Matte Army green
[Image: iphonepics118.jpg]

With 800BHP I needed something to help stop the thing

Had to sell the 800BHP beast So now Im the proud owner of a slow Sportcross
