New battery required
by jimxms, 11-05-2019, 05:03 AM
Ugh, so it looks like I need to buy a new battery. Car refused to start after I had interior light on for only about 30 mins last night and its been a lot slower to crank up recently.

Interestingly though my battery charger managed to jump start the car for me :p

Whats a good, reasonably priced battery? And what size/model should I be looking for?

My housemate is doing something stupid!
by toxo, 10-05-2019, 12:34 PM
On Sunday my housemate and an all-female team are entering a raft race to raise money for breast cancer care. They've built the raft themselves and will be sailing it 2-3 miles down the river ouse in a race against 9 other rafts!

If breast cancer is an issue close to your heart (or if you just like boobs) then please chuck a few pence their way: http://www.justgiving.com/Harriet-Lamming

Assistance Please peoples.

Can decide which way to go.

Honda Civic Type R or Honda S2000.

Was looking at a Skyline but far to expensive for what they are.

Stereo Memory
by Dinho, 10-05-2019, 04:17 AM
Hi, I have installed a new double din stereo, everything works fine, the only problem I have is that when I switch it off and switch it back on again it forgets where it was. Im guessing this is something to do with the memory wire? If so where do connect this to make it remember.
Thanks

Little washer bottle recommendations?
by jimxms, 09-05-2019, 02:46 PM
Long shot, but does anybody know of a car (preferably a Toyota) that has a particularly small windscreen washer bottle?

Unfortunately I had to ditch my washer bottle and headlight washers (MOT fail..yes I know!) in order to get the intercooler and piping to fit properly. So what I am thinking of doing is salvaging a washer bottle + pump from another car and just tucking it somewhere in the engine bay.

Great day and thought I would share some of the pics I took. Not sure if I got to say hello to everyone, but for anyone I missed, apologies Smile

Borrow a boost gauge from a local?
by jimxms, 09-05-2019, 08:33 AM
I think my boost sensor might be up the swanny Sad

Does anyone in the Essex area have a boost gauge (that's not fitted to their car) which I could come round and quickly hook up to my vaucum line for a test?

Cheers boys
