So what do you guys think of the FT-86 II
by Lexusboy, 08-02-2019, 05:26 PM
So what do you guys think of the FT-86 II ?

FT-86 II concept from Toyota introduces a new generation of sports car. This front engine, rear-wheel drive concept gives the clearest indication yet of the FT-86 final design.

FT-86 II perfectly recaptures the exhilarating spirit of the Toyota Corolla Levin AE 86 - the must-have rallying and circuit driving choice in the 1980s. It is driver-oriented, designed to give form to the intrinsic joy of driving.

Greetings from overseas
by Bobby, 08-02-2019, 10:55 AM
Been a while since I have been on, could not access from my previous contract but now back up and running only this time from South Africa. I have taken a new contract with the South African Petroleum Co. just outside Cape Town. Only on my second week but this should last a minimum of 3 years. Not bad life here in the sun. Technically I can still be a member of OJC, got the RX-8 back in UK and have a Honda down here, ok so it is a company car and it is the Jazz, so no modifying.
Trust all the old crew are doing well, now away to catch up on some posts.

Selling the Turbo and moving on....

....to an MR2 V6 Quad Cam:thumbup:
I fell for how this car looks and then got to test drive it today. I was very impressed with how it drove, even without a Turbo Rolleyes

Although, I confess... I feel a Super charger will be on order once the piggy bank is healthy again :th:

Pick this up in a couple of weeks, once Davids private plate has been sorted by DVLA.

Portable laptop
by parthiban, 07-02-2019, 10:45 AM
Looking to buy a small/lightweight laptop to use for occasional browsing in the home, but mostly to use while travelling, what's best to go for?

Portability I think is the key, is a netbook the way to go? Seems to make sense, but I find gutless computers really frustrating so do they have enough power to be usable?

The battery life does make them appealing, even if they make half the stated figures that's still pretty decent, are the dual core ones going to be the best ones to go for? I think the inspiron duo looks awesome but is it worth the extra cost?

Or should I just go for a normal ultraportable which will have lower battery life, but decent power and an optical drive too?

hi all
bought a y plate is200 sport a few weeks ago, 18" 9 spoke factory alloys, factory sport spoiler different to normal sport no light washers, induction kit, stainless sport exhaust, only problems are original cd player wont load disks (what a suprise ConfusedhockConfusedeems a common problem with old stereos) illuminated kick plates not workinConfusedadSadgot a quiet high piched buzzin noise when open passenger door :confused1Smileand sat nav controller by handbrake is missing apart from that great car 74000 on clock, have put some pics in my gallery.
bit dissapointed that sport's are exactly the same power/speed as the SE's but there you are just have to go on a power gain mission now:wink:
anyway enough about me just wanted to say hi

Wireless on Old PC..
by Jambo, 06-02-2019, 10:23 AM
Hi,

I went and had a look at the Uni that I'm going to in September. Noticed they had a wireless Router for each floor with 6 antennas (for the 6 rooms?). Now my PC is quite old and currently has a built in Ethernet port onto the motherboard.

Just wondering what to do so that I can pick up wireless signal. Do I simply get a USB stick thing that can pick up the wireless signal, and will this be quick?

Saw somebody streaming live football through their laptop so must be a descent speed, will a USB adaptor be quick enough, or do I need a built in wireless card?
