Tumble Dryer
by parthiban, 28-09-2017, 08:53 AM
We have a Bosch tumble dryer (one of the sensor type ones) and it's been having problems recently. Machine will start as normal, but often before it ends drying, it will stop.

It doesn't stop because it think it's dry, it's almost as though the machine resets - the start light flashes just as it does when you first switch the machine on.

This is a proper long shot but any ideas on what will need replacing? My thoughts are that it must be an electronics problem, but a replacement board is £135 so that is a last resort. I'm wondering whether it's something to do with the heat or moisture? Could it simply be a failed seal somewhere that's getting into the electronics?

Or is it best to just get a Bosch engineer out and swallow the £100 call out fee?

Buying your next car Tips
by Lexusboy, 28-09-2017, 08:08 AM
If your not up to date on car buying i would recommend that you do plenty of home work first on your intended purchase.
This will help you with getting the right car for the right money.
Always remember to check the ownership of the car before purchasing.
I listed some site that may help you when purchasing your next vehicle.
Understand also if your using HIRE PURCHASE what rate you are being charged.
Always ask what THE DEALER WHAT APR you are paying.
Check with your bank to see what they can offer you before you go ahead with any deal.

Car HPI checks you really should check the title of ownership of your vehicle.
If the vehicle has any outstanding finance on it.
This is very important otherwise you may buy a car but not own it.

The Outlaw Jap Club want all our members to be happy with their purchase.
The information that is listed is to help and we can not be help responsible for the contents of the links or for any errors in you buying your car.

Something which made me smile
by Saraj, 27-09-2017, 10:47 PM
:glare:

this made me smile tonight,

Finished work at 12am, and its a 30 mile journey home mostly motorway

Just got out of Preston onto M6, and this car comes zooming past me, i was travelling at around 50-60mph. He must have been doing 110mph

Well with him gone past, i thought to myself dont really blame him for the speed at the motorway was empty and though not likely any cops about ethier.

Well 20 miles later, see cops car with flashing lights on the hard shoulder, and guess what his car in front, the vauxhall vectra

this in itself made me smile, a bit eariler i thought he had no chance of cops stopping at that time of night,

then about 10 miles later, he comes past again, once again i was still doing 50-60mph, and this time i think we can all guess what sort of speed he was doing.

just something which made me smile.

not planning to get any sleep tonight then back to work at 5am, was bored so thought ill post it

Ride of the Month
by dimis, 27-09-2017, 04:12 PM
I was looking at another forum and they had a "Ride of the Month" section. I found it quite clever and attempting. What do you think admins? It would be a nice section to have where members of the club could vote the nicest and/or modded car of the month.

HIDs - Few questions
by parthiban, 27-09-2017, 02:07 PM
Finally got a chance to carefully check over my HIDs this afternoon and all the wiring looks solid so I'm confident the right ballast has died. Need to buy a new HID kit now as you feel blind with halogen headlights after using HIDs for so long!

2 questions really:

1. Where should I buy from? HIDs Direct was mentioned in my earlier thread, are they the safest option?

2. Going to get a 4300K kit this time, should I buy a 35W or 50W kit? Like the idea of 50W, but wondering whether the extra brightness may cause problems with the police, etc?
