what should i buy - Mikey - 03-08-2017 ok over the next few weeks im going to get myself some new car detailing/care products this will consist of shampoo claybar polish wax what products that are on the market that you use and have good ratings & durability because this is going to get the car ready for the winter cheers what should i buy - Lexusboy - 03-08-2017 Mikey this is very personnal as the cost can very so much from what one member pays to other for there products. When i get a chance i will send you through some items with some costs attached and then if they meet your budget then you can give them some thought. what should i buy - aaronabbott - 03-08-2017 i use autoglym shampoo-£6-7 bilt hamber clay-£10 off ebay autoglym super resin polish-£5-7 autoglym extra gloss protection-£5-7 dodo juice wax-£25-30 what should i buy - Mikey - 03-08-2017 cheers all will be taken in and then choose what is best to fit budget cheers aaron thats what i ment what wax hard/soft what should i buy - steviewevie - 03-08-2017 Yeah there are a million and one products out there. What people do typically is fine what works best for them. As Lexusboy said, it seems to be a personal thing. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the top brands really. what should i buy - Bobby - 03-08-2017 As Lexusboy says, very personal, you will get many people telling you about different products. Of course money is a big issue here with the likes of Zymol costing a fortune compared to any other product. I have attached some addresses to various sites I have used with success in the past, the choice is huge. See what you budget allows & post up what you are thinking about buying then perhaps the members can offer an opinion. There is also a couple of detailing sites that offer good advice & info on current products. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/guides.html http://www.speeding.co.uk/index.html http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/Default.aspx This site is USA, some good stuff & prices but you will get hit with UK import taxes  Of course the ulimate stuff & very expensive is (IMO) http://www.vertar.com/zymol/page-all what should i buy - aaronabbott - 03-08-2017 Mikey is200/s13 cheers all will be taken in and then choose what is best to fit budget i bought the soft wax mate, but will eventually buy some hard to see how it goes what should i buy - Lexusboy - 03-08-2017 As Some of the guys have said it all down to cost but i would start with a good wax. Often the differance on one wax to another is some are better on some colours. So i would go over to http://www.detailingworld.co.uk and get all the info for your final selection. I use Collinite 476s wax Mr Mole uses Dodo juice and get very good results other use Autoglym or Zaino z8 so maybe a evening reading will give you a good idea on what maybe worth spending your money on and if you get this right then it will be worth the many hours to get your car cleaned to a good finish. what should i buy - steviewevie - 03-08-2017 Wax is a good example of a personal thing. Person A might find Wax X very easy to work with, and gets good results. But Person B finds it a bit of a nightmare (too hard, too soft, etc) and so uses Way Y instead. Person C probably needs to try Wax X and Wax Y to see if he likes either of them, or maybe he needs to try something else ! All the top products will do a good job. It's really down to how easy you find them to use etc. what should i buy - Bobby - 03-08-2017 Who is Person A, was he at JAE ??? Think I met B & C ! |
