Parrot Kit question - roheel - 31-10-2017

Guys,

I want to get a Parrot bluetooth kit installed in my is200se with satnav. Was wondering do i need to have a speaker installed for the sound to come through or is it possible to have to sound come through the speakers already in the car. As the SE has an amp will going through the speakers be ok?

Cheers

Roheel

You won't need an additional speaker, you can get it to work through the car's speakers as many have done. If you use the Autoleads mute cable (06-913B off the top of my head but check that out before you buy) then it's all pretty much plug and play. I had to do a bit of cutting and soldering as the autoleads cable has a nokia plug on the end (no idea why).

Which Parrot kit are you thinking of getting?

just the man i wanted to hear from! I thought you had done it!

I was thinking about the CK3100...What you think?

I went on the parrot site and they mention a cable that i need but it for the car with 6 spks and without amp....

Any ideas?

go for the next model up 3200 its better lol installing it shouldnt be a problem worst case scenario you need to cut and solder 8 cables
4 speaker wires front L front R
3 power Ground Ignition Earth
1 Mute cable

its very easy to install maste

Don't know a lot about the Parrot kits to be honest, but the 3200 does look a lot nicer than the 3100 if there isn't a lot in it cost wise. Obviously the 9200 is awesome but must cost a lot more.

Just checked it's definitely the 06-913B from autoleads - this basically plugs in between the loom and the amp to mute the stereo and route the phone audio through the front speakers when a call comes in. I'm not sure what kind of plug comes on the end of a Parrot kit, but I'm guessing it's not a nokia one so you'll probably need to do the same wiring I did.

The wires on the autoleads cable are as follows:

Yellow: Mute
Blue: Ignition sense
Red: +12V
Black: Ground

Audio jack:
Black with white stripe: loudspeaker +
Black: loudspeaker –

Cheers Rab, Will look into this.

May contact you later parthiban to see if you can help me fit it. What one you got?

Parrot Kit question - Rabster - 31-10-2017

you dont HAVE to buy the cable you can make the conections your self behind the radio using bullet crimps if you wanted this way it can be removed and put back to standard at a later date or it allows for futher expansion lol

Rab only thing is i have the dvd conversion system in my car which uses the Changer function on the headunit to have the sound on the system. Will is effect this?

Parrot Kit question - Rabster - 31-10-2017

nope, shouldnt do for the following reason

the way the parrot kit is fitted is direct to the speakers so the sound gets cut from the standard system when you get a call and the parrot takes control

sounds wicked! Rab you got one?
