Cheers haha super n00b question time - is300_dino - 10-03-2018 get some led t10's for the parking/side lights haha super n00b question time - Carpediem - 10-03-2018 is300_dino get some led t10's for the parking/side lights DJ Wozza If you are staying with Halogen bulbs, Osram Silverstar are very good Thanks guys, Ive sussed it out now lol, What bulbs would you recommend to give not jsut better lighting but a more "Xenon" effect light? My lights are quite decent as standard but a bit mroe would be nice, i jsut hate the yellow tinge they have! haha super n00b question time - Mikey - 10-03-2018 hid kit haha super n00b question time - steviewevie - 10-03-2018 Don't think you can install aftermarket HIDs on the IS220. haha super n00b question time - Carpediem - 10-03-2018 ^^ Dont want a kit lol jsut better bulbs autobulbs direct are doing the Osram 100% dipped bulbs for £24 witht he sidelights thronw in free + a free in-car battery charger will buy them and perhaps upgrade the full beams the following month
haha super n00b question time - spikes - 11-03-2018 ive used philips blue vision and they are good, but the osrams sound a good deal:biggrin: haha super n00b question time - parthiban - 11-03-2018 You can fit HIDs to the mk2 IS, just need an H11 kit. You can get kits as cheap as £35 on ebay, and the difference between HID and normal bulbs is absolutely massive - my personal opinion is that normal replacement bulbs are a bit of a waste of money....... haha super n00b question time - Carpediem - 11-03-2018 ^^ i know i know lol, but im not keen on modifying anything, and faffing with ballasts etc. so much easier to buy better bulbs and just whack em in
haha super n00b question time - toxo - 11-03-2018 Plus aftermarket HID kits are illegal ![]() PIAA bulbs are mega bright but also questionable for use on the roads. There are some Halfords 150% brighter ones which were on offer last time I went in which will do the job just fine. |
