Just had a blow out on the way to work,

got the space saver on (god it looks awful)

any recommendations for tyre? (is220d - 205/55/16)

I got a qoute of £60 for a Hancook tyre, they any good?

Dammit!!! help need please - Rabster - 03-05-2018

what did yo have originally ?

Falken, Kumho Or Dunlop Sp9000 (i think it was)

Depends how much you want to spend was it front or rear ?

Dammit!!! help need please - Lexusboy - 03-05-2018

What is on the other side as it is best to keep the same profile?

Dammit!!! help need please - Carpediem - 03-05-2018

pretty sure its Falken, but could be dunlop, defiantely not Kumho

its a Rear tyre

hmm as little as possible but not a budget tyre,?

Dammit!!! help need please - Rabster - 03-05-2018

how good is the other tyre ideally you want to replace in pairs

Falken are good but Kumho are rising up through the ranks as for quality and are more mid range than budget now

cant afford to replace both, they were brand new on a month ago Sad

will have a check

not to bothered what it is so long as its going to last and has a decent speed racing, dont reall thrash my car as its more a cruiser

Dammit!!! help need please - Lexusboy - 03-05-2018

I would replace with the same tyre and the other rear.

well ive spoken to a mate that runs a tyre shop in rugby and hes qouted me the £60 for a hankook and said he will match tread pattern as close as possible, including speed rating / load rating,

so long as the actual tyre cost doesnt go above £90 then he will match as clsoe as possible for the original £60

can replace the other as the money is being borrowed as it is

thanks the info guys Smile

PS:

how long does a space saver last? i.e. if i get my tyre replaced can i put the space saver back to be used again?

Dammit!!! help need please - russelllinn - 03-05-2018

if you only bought them a month ago I would just replace the one that has blown with the same!

yeh wil see, thats it i spent £200 on a new set i cant afford another one

odd thing is i cant see where its been punctured???

theres a small hole in the side wall, but that could be a result of the puncture
