Help, double din dose not fit in fascia - Moley - 27-09-2018

What do you do if the double din cage dose not fit in to the fascia .

Got the headunit wired up but I cant get the cage to go in the fascia.
Is it ok to cut of the bottom bit of the fascia ??

Which bit won't fit exactly ? Sorry, I can't work out what's wrong from the pics.

The pics don't look right to me. Aren't there screw holes on the side of the new head unit ? All I can see are two long slots

If you look at the top pic, its the same one Wozza posted about but with the bottom part cut of. Now the cage dose not fit because of the brackets that get screwed in beside the TRC swithch . So I've now cut them off also

Next thing to do might be to cut the top or the bottom of the cage off

Just trying to think of what's going on there. Did the unit come with its own metal cage ? If so, then you shouldn't need to use that, the head unit should mount directly into the fascia adapter.

perhaps a dose of superglue at this point Moley? before you cut the rest of the cage off..

Can't you fabricate something to the right size with your weldy stuff? Smile
