Stripping an engine - Dark Samurai - 07-12-2018 Chri5 Hammer lol LOL Just do the nuts on the head up in a sequence and then do them up again to more Nm, then do the 90 degree turn thing. Stripping an engine - Lexusboy - 07-12-2018 Just dont get oil on the drive way :cursing: that my only advice Stripping an engine - ormi - 07-12-2018 Rabster As above what tools will i need and any dooos and dont's ? no special tools mate just keep everything together ie manifold bolts beside the manifold, rocker bolts beside the rocker always use single hex sockets or you'll round the bolts off mark the buckets i1-i8 same with the exhaust ones e1-e8 also if your removing the oil pick up remember and clean it and clean it good. if your removing the crank watch for the two thrust washers and what way they go...if your removing the big ends you will need a 12 or 14mm multihex socket.. Stripping an engine - Sparkystav - 07-12-2018 Tools wise, Socket set, spanners, rachet spanners are always helpful. Take LOTS of Pictures and i mean LOTS! make sure you know what nuts and bolts go where. a good method is to tape them into the holes they came from (ie when removing alternator etc) Stripping an engine - jay_russell - 07-12-2018 big can of wd40 or bolt and rust remover spray and a kettle for the tea. faster to make it in the garage than running into the house Stripping an engine - Lexuspat - 08-12-2018 just take ur time if you try to rush it thats when you miss something Stripping an engine - fluff - 08-12-2018 Warm hands are a must. No one likes cold hands on their internals.
