bonnet seals - Moley - 28-11-2019 I'm needing a new set of rubber bonnet seals for the IS200 , I have just noticed today that there has been mice eating the seals and they are something that could do a lot more damage . So has anyone got a set and also any advice to keep the mice away ? And before anyone suggests getting a cat well just NO . bonnet seals - Fozzy - 28-11-2019 once mice get into a car they can be a nightmare to remove. Try and find out if they are nesting somewhere and destroy it. I dont think there is that much you can do about it, unless there is some sort of deterrant spray to keep them away. For the seals i would have thought a breaker would be your best bet, cant imagine they will be cheap from Lexus bonnet seals - Rabster - 28-11-2019 Hey moley you can get some pest detergents that plug into the mains we live in the country Ish and field mice are a real pain we have a few of these dotted around the garage and house etc works a treat not seen any for a while now lol Works on ultransonic frequencys bonnet seals - Fozzy - 28-11-2019 ah didnt think of that, if the car is garaged bonnet seals - Rabster - 28-11-2019 If its not garaged then youn can run an extension lead out and position it in a ip rated box put the repellant in the box Also ensure the cable ir protected by a rcd bonnet seals - Moley - 28-11-2019 No the car just sits outside at the moment. So plug in stuff won't work bonnet seals - Rabster - 28-11-2019 It can work if you place in a waterproof box places like b&q sell outdoor sockets that come with a rcd plug in module so you can make your own one up and just throw it under the car bit like the ghostbusters ghost trap thing lol Or how far from the house is the garage as these things normally have a range of 20m I think..... bonnet seals - Sparkystav - 28-11-2019 i have the full set of seals i think mate bonnet seals - Moley - 28-11-2019 I'll buy them off you then stav , if you don't need them.Rabs my car is not in the garage it just sits outside my front window of the house. So would one of them things plugged into the living room work bonnet seals - Rabster - 28-11-2019 Yeah I think one would work it's called a rodent repellant they should have a range on the box so check that before getting it. But not had any round mine for some time now yay lol |
