Since I've had it for a while now, I thought I'd give some feedback on my JUN Lightweight Flywheel.
When I initially picked up the car, I had a lot of trouble with stalling it, and I thought this was down to the flywheel.
A couple of thousand miles on, I can say that I'm glad I got the new flywheel. But this is because my main reason for getting it was just that I wanted a brand new flywheel (to go with the new clutch that was installed at the same time), because I had a lot of clutch judder in the driveline quite often before. The new flywheel has greatly reduced this (not totally eliminated it, but enough so as not to irritate me any more).
Why didn't I just buy an OEM flywheel ? Because they are a *lot* more expensive than the JUN one.
However, I think that the "lightweight" aspect of the flywheel is a waste of time really. Sure, it does rev up quicker when you're sitting with the engine idling and in neutral, and you step on the accelerator. But that's about it. I can't say I can notice it when I'm driving along.
My initial problems with stalling seem to have been caused I think by a combination of the new flywheel and clutch. The new clutch had a different biting point, and it took me a while to get used to that. So I was stalling it because of the clutch, combined with the fact that the lighter flywheel does lose its revs a lot more quickly. I don't really have stalling problems any more, now that I've got used to it.

interesting you say about the judder issue, after my clutch went pop burning out the flywheel I now have clutch judder where as before I didn't :confused:

On the judder, in my case I can only think it's something that's still in the driveline that's doing it. But before, the dual-mass flywheel used to amplify it and make it seem a whole lot worse. It used to bug me, but now it's gone away to such an extent that it's fine.

I suppose if your prop is even slightly off balance you will get judder, that "may" feel like clutch judder, and it goes as the revs increase, as sometimes happens.

I've done just over 2000 miles in it. I can occasionally stall it in reverse, can't remember if I was going forward or reverse at Japfest lol. The clutch bite point is quite a way down, and if I am turning round looking backwards, it's more difficult to keep my foot down enough.
