Import number plate Font size?? - Bandit - 15-09-2017 Not sure mate, it came through a company called SN IMPORTS in Bristol in 2006? they imported the car and sorted all the shipping etc? i have the paperwork for the shipping and the dvla registration but nothing saying anything about an SVA test  It came into the country with 96k on the clock and its only done 128k now so not done a massive amount of miles in the past 3 years by the look of it :thumbup1: Import number plate Font size?? - ormi - 15-09-2017 if it was imported and mot'd you can run the small plates if its been sva tested you cant as part of the sva test says the plates must conform too uk laws.(but your saving grace is they wont dig that deep mate and prob just let you go) Import number plate Font size?? - dandydons - 15-09-2017 Dont think you would have needed an SVA test since the car was over 10 years old when imported - at least thats what the rules were at that time - may have changed since. Import number plate Font size?? - ormi - 15-09-2017 Information Regarding Importing to the United Kingdom UK home | why us | why import | import rules | testimonials | odometer certification The rules regarding what can be imported into the UK depend on the age of the car: * Any car over 10 years old can be imported. It will need to pass an MOT like any other car. * Cars less than 10 years old and made before 1997. These will need an MOT and pass the SVA test. This is a test to see if the car is suitable for use in the UK. * Cars manufactured from December 31st 1996. If over 3 years old these will need an MOT and pass the ESVA. This is similar to the SVA but is more stringent and cars will need a 'model report' to be imported. If you are trying to import a car made after December 31st 1996 please make sure it has a model report: http://www.modelreports.com http://www.model-reports-direct.com Import number plate Font size?? - Bandit - 15-09-2017 Mines a 1995 model mate, so its 14 years old and imported in 2006?
