Nankang Tyres? - Andy-R. - 18-09-2017

deckie77 Used nankangs on my last BM as a middle of the road tyre, no issues at all

What about in the wet or even ice/snow?

No tyres are good in ice/snow, except ones with chains on, and no issues in wet either, but i never pushed the car if it was wet, something iv'e been cautious with the lex also

I had Nankangs on my IS for a while fine in the dry but as Bandits says be (very) careful in the wet. What about Kuhmo's I have had them before & they are decent for the money, as are Falkens. Is there much difference in price from the Nankangs to the khumos/Falkens. Dont mean to be a moan but tyres are not something you want to skimp on, get the best you can afford mate.

I know what your saying matey and don't really want anything cheap and nasty but that's where i'm at at the moment especailly with chrimbo on the way, I can get 2 Nankangs for around £35 each were as the Falkens are £65 each, I hate buying tyres as it's something i've never really had to worry about as I can usually get really good part worns from my mate who has a tyre place but he can't get hold of my size so i'm stumped. Think i'm gonna have to sting my mum for a few quid and get something decent.

andy i think the cheaper tyres would be better than your nearly bald ones, just take it steady in the wet.Smile

At the risk of telling you something you already know, bear in mind that your tyres are the only thing keeping you in contact with the road, so get as good ones as you can afford !
