Battery flat! - Sparkystav - 10-11-2017 Sounds like the alternator to me. did it just cut out or did she stall it? Battery flat! - Jambo - 10-11-2017 Cant stall its auto? Unless there was a way. BTW she didnt drive to halfords . She managed to get home and find a place to park as there was no way it was getting up our street. She said she was going to halfords then i got another call "Come and help me out of the snow please". All is good now hopefully, just hope it starts tomorrow Battery flat! - Bandit - 10-11-2017 Has the alternator belt snapped/come off mate? Battery flat! - Jambo - 10-11-2017 It wouldnt start again though and drive around for another 30minutes if it did? Battery flat! - Bandit - 10-11-2017 Your battery recycles after a rest! so would have a little power in it still due to recovering! Have you got a multi-meter? so you can check to see if its charging? Battery flat! - Sparkystav - 10-11-2017 acrossw the terminals with the battery off. here you go: http://www.bahamutcars.com/workshop/IS_98-05/rm/rm684e/m_ch_0001.pdf Battery flat! - steviewevie - 10-11-2017 What does the voltmeter on the dash say when you're driving ? What about at idle ? Battery flat! - steviewevie - 10-11-2017 Marsdendean Its where it should be! Its just below the 12v and inbetween 9 i think. Are you sure ? Because it should be above 12v, not below ! Should be more like 14V when you're driving along. Battery flat! - steviewevie - 10-11-2017 Marsdendean If its below 12v, what will be the problem - battery? The alternator probably. Battery flat! - Sparkystav - 10-11-2017 when fired up should be about 14.4v |
