Dyno Readings - Facts ! - SPChorsham.com - 08-01-2018 Andy-R. Wouldn't you rather know the HP at the wheels anyway so you know what power you actually have at your disposal. Hi, all rolling roads measure the torque at the wheels. This is then converted to wheel HP, and then if required calculated flywheel/crankshaft HP. We find 99% of customers prefer the pub number, however the wheel output is the most reliable IMO and quite often (especially with bikes) we tune or map using the wheel output. This is due to the variation in transmission losses that affect some vehicles notably 4wd. I hope this is of some help. But he did get readings & that was two different dyno's, will dig out the paperwork for the runs if you want. |
