mate, what are you looking for, mpg or what else etc.?

Which car - FirebirdPhil - 05-02-2018

Overall cost of running vs. future value.

Thats why things like the French cars are not really in the running because they loose all their value as soon as you sit in them.

I voted for the BMW aswell, think its better than the rest and its RWD :thumbup1:

Which car - Chri5 - 05-02-2018

I'd personally go for the 320d or the civic
father in law has just bought 1 and I gotta say I'm impressed
but not got a clue on the resale value in 12months or so
but with price of fuel rising again then the diesel us probly gonna be easier to sell.

Been reading about reliability issued on the BMW - looks like there is a major issue with the swirl flaps in the inlet manifold (used in the traction control system). Apparently the plastic breaks and sends a flap into the engine, causing catastrophic damage......

An issue like poor tyre wear on IS200's - BMW know there is an issue but will never acknowledge the fact, only this causes engine failure not just a new set of tyres every 4500miles.................... Simple fix to the problem though - remove the flaps and loose T/C.
