the most i've heard of is the new firmware, and since the only network to have 4g is Sprint in the US a new iphone 4g in the uk would seem quite premature

and does it affect wireless connections? cause thats all I would use it for, not via my network provider, also would it speed the OS up?? otherwise 4g is no point to me 3gs would be better?

to be honest i dont see the point having 4g as networks only support upto 3g as far as i know but the 4g has not been announced yet could all be fake. you never know. wait till june will find out

4g is just a rumoured/working title to fit in with it being a 4th generation phone, nothing to do with the network.

Agree with what you're saying the iPhone is a decent phone - just ridiculously priced for what it offers. Definitely more reasonable though at these prices......

I have just ordered my new phone after having a 2g iphone since the launch day.
I did decide to come away from the iphone this time but not for any reason except a change.
Some times we need change or we end up very blinkered imo.
So i decided to give the new released HTC Desire a try.
I hope to receive this tomorrow.

What sort of deal did you get on it? I was speaking to Vodafone yesterday about upgrading to the desire, but they want more money than I wanted to pay from me but looking on the web it looks like it is demanding high prices.
They offered it to me for £100 on a 12 month contract @ £35/month.
