All seems ok. Went out in it today and it's ice cold. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Yep sounds like you've been lucky too! Our old merc had a leak somewhere and kept losing gas, everytime it was regassed it would take about 3 months to become empty again but kept doing it.......no one could find the leak so they claimed it needed a new AC compressor........
