If thats an RS200 for £2500 it is £1000 - £1500 under priced...... and no rear spoiler.

Yes - in a nutshell. If it has 6 Cyl then its going to be an AS200 (not worth buying), 4 Cyl a 3SGE powered Altezza - well worth it.

To me it looks like an AS200 as there is no rear spoiler and that was a standard item on the RS200.

IS/AS200 makes its power fine. The RS200 will only make the 207Bhp on 99RON petrol (This also being true of the Celica 190 for some extra useful/useless info.)


3SGE I4 (207BHP) Altezza RS200:

1GFE I6 (153BHP) Lexus IS200 / Altezza AS200:

LHD IS200 so some parts on the wrong side and Lexus symbol on the airbox. Altezza will have Beams 2000 on the airbox and no chrome.

thanks v much, so if its only an as200 how come its got rs200 on the log book must be a mistake right?

Many imports have the wrong details, it is down to the person who registered it in the UK, if they assumed it was an RS200 then that is what they would have registered it as, you can see how mistakes are made because people don't always know what they have.......

It's also got Lexus on the bootlid, didn't think they badged the Tezza as a Lexus no matter what engine:confused1:
