I don't know why you're surprised really mate, from an outsiders point of view they'll just see stirring going on between two forums, and that's probably why accounts are just getting outright suspended instead of just a warning.
With a warning you can still post whatever you want, with a suspension it makes it a lot "cleaner" if you see what I mean as they don't have to moderate you any further? And once they've seen someone stirring things up even if it's misperceived, they then have to try and read everyone of your posts to make sure you're not doing it again.
Like Wozza says the best approach is just don't post anything that could be perceived as stirring things up at all - otherwise there are just going to be lots of posts on here from people who are complaining they are now suspended or banned!
This sort of thing happened with .org in the past and a few years down the road will probably happen again with a different bunch of people.

Like you say mate that's the best way - just leave it now otherwise anyone going on LOC making any posts they take to be stirring is just going to get banned without a minutes hesitation!
I've been admin of various forums in the past and moderated one which was much busier than sites like LOC etc, and really don't fancy going through all that again then - I found a lot of the fun was taken out of it when you get to these sorts of situations so I'd just get bored and walk away!
Internet time is supposed to be fun - not something to bring a downer to your day - unless it's a message from a bird on Facebook saying she won't touch it :lol:
