yep u can colour match anything but you have a difference between fresh paint and paint that is 12 mounths old, blending is by far the best way

Yeah no doubt. But a colour match to something taken off the car would be better than just going by paint code tho wouldn't it?
I know its hardly the same situation, but when I had a legana rep bumper painted for my IS, I sent the guy my sports grille. The colour match was spot on, and thats on paint thats 8yrs old.

a side pannel directly next too anouther i.e 2 doors u would see a big difference, unlike a bumper wich is not directly next too mutch

Its the luck of the draw I think, if your paint has sun fading damage then it is worth blending - thing is you don't know it until you put new paint onto the car then its to late.

bah it'll be fine,
i put on a side skirt from a compeltely different IS and colour match was great,
Sam will spray it for me and will see my car first hand so i trust it wont be end of the world
