Just stick a claim through, and get them to spray the door whilst its in the body shop. You loose your NCB anyway once they go and get their car repaired or written off.

But if the Mondeo driver claims to get his car repaired then that's a claim against you, right? So regardless of whether the cost to repair your car is nil, the issue of repairing his still has to be covered, and as it's a claim against you you'll lose your NCB?

If it makes you feel any better, my insurance renewal this year is actually CHEAPER with an accident on my file (£1500 repair) than without!!! This is with elephant insurance.

Go figure eh!

lol well you never know, i may have to hunt around and just worry about stumping up a deposit,

The worst bit is i start my new job on monday and will be commuting by train so wont be doing more than 1k miles a year at best yet the insurance is going to be mahoosive

^ noticed ur age. Do you have any 'elder females' you can add to the policy.

Adding my mum knocks £600 off mine!
Or if I add my Mrs (who has a provisional license) it knocks off £300.

Dont know if I can legally add my mum as I don't live with her, but with all the troubles I had with my insurance co after my accident, it kinda makes me wanna say f*k it and do whatever I can (within reason) to keep it down.

erm possibly, adding my misses to my insurance raised it though, shes same age but has 6 years NCB

I must have a really weird insurer. Everything I do that you'd assume would increase the premium...reduces it.

Adding learner drivers, having an accident, increasing mileage, increasing cost of car. Confused
