rob andy if you have bought what i think u have then they are ****, you wont get any correction of the paint/clearcoat with it BUT it is easier than doing it by hand and saves your shoulder! In your case you want a product that is "filler" heavy - it fills the swirls making them less obvious but they will still be there. look no further than autoglym super resin polish.
remember that you need to apply a wax or sealant after polishing to protect the paintwork.
Cheers Rob basically I want it to save my crumbling shoulder so if it does a decent enough job then i'm happy.

I've got a polisher similar to yours Andy, and as Rob says it's nowhere near powerful enough to do a proper paint correction.
However what it does do quite well is emulate what my hand and arm would do without causing me anywhere near as much pain - haven't tried it with the autoglym SRP yet but it works well with some Zymol stuff I also have :biggrin:

Not too bothered about paint correction just want it to save me days of agony after giving the car a good going over.
Would there not be wax in the polish then?

Yep then that type of polisher will be fine, I'm happy with mine for what it does
No the polishes like zymol and SRP are just polishes, need to use some kind of wax on top to protect all your hard work (although those are just words from me, have a brand new tub of collinite 916(?) in the garage that's still totally unused after almost a year now! :lol

then as said it will be fine.
there are polishes that have wax in them but TBH i prefer seperates as a combined product is never going to be as good.
autoglym super resin polish ( SRP) and something like collinite 476 will be fine - JUST REMEMER TO APPLY A REALLY THIN COAT OF WAX slapping it on 5mm thick will just waste the product and it will be difficult to remove afterwards. rather put 2 or 3 thin coats on instead.

Andy we will have a car detailer on the forum within the next few days as a Trader.
I can say for sure that he will give you the very best advice for getting out any swirl marks from your car or any other advice on detailing.
