Just got me a Toy to play with - Bandit - 03-04-2019 Good to see you back mate :thumbup1: and look forward to seeing what you get up to with this one  Just got me a Toy to play with - Lexusboy - 04-04-2019 Nice to have you back in the Fold Mate... Just got me a Toy to play with - toxo - 04-04-2019 ormi 176 bhp.......camry v6 slots straight in with no problems at all... Yes indeed they do... although surprisingly the extra litre and cylinders don't make for much more power! Turbo running gear (the driveshafts, ECU, gearbox, hubs, exhausts etc are all different) from a solid rev3 engine can be had for around £1k (it's about £1500-£1700 drive-in drive-out engine swap at a specialist). Pete (Hurricane) and me have both got loads and loads of rev3 spares lying around too
Just got me a Toy to play with - FirebirdPhil - 04-04-2019 The Camry 3L needs a supercharger to make the swap worthwhile. Rare as a rust free MG Metro. Just got me a Toy to play with - toxo - 04-04-2019 Ooh I forgot about the 2GR-FE engine swap though, that one is worthwhile :thumbup1: Although we are all just assuming you're going to do an engine swap because of your previous history lol Just got me a Toy to play with - FirebirdPhil - 04-04-2019 A forged 3SGTE is always worthwhile also.............. Just got me a Toy to play with - parthiban - 04-04-2019 Welcome back mate! Would the Toyota V6 in the evora would fit in an MR2? Would probably be pricey but an interesting swap! Just got me a Toy to play with - is300_dino - 04-04-2019 how about a 1LR-GUE now that would be awesome!!!! Just got me a Toy to play with - toxo - 04-04-2019 parthiban Welcome back mate! Ish: toxo Ooh I forgot about the 2GR-FE engine swap though, that one is worthwhile :thumbup1: 2GR-FE is the Evora engine after a fashion. Lotus muck about with it a bit so the Lotus version is a bit different but it's used in loads of other Toyota applications (mostly in the states). It's also the engine that's one half of the hybrid powertrain in the RX350 Can easily make 300BHP N/A with the removal of the emissions control ****, light porting and a decent set of exhaust manifolds.
Just got me a Toy to play with - parthiban - 04-04-2019 Ahh I don't know any of the engine numbers, I actually thought the Evora/RX engine was the same as the IS350/GS engine but looking it up that's the 2GR-FSE - that's the one to have then as that already produces over 300bhp
