I am having a little trouble though, i can do what i want with the video but when i try to put it on facebook to see how it looks it does not recognize the format

What format are you saving the file as?

Mike you need to export the project to your pc as a certain format first, because the project file format and the final project format once exported are two different files.
File > Export > Export to computer. Then save it, then go to facebook with the exported file and it should work.

cool , i will try that, think i have sorted it, its kinda posted it on facebook for me, I will try to change the format and save it to my computer

Movie maker only outputs in WMV (windows media video) or AVI both of which are accepted by facebook?
