Well there is good news and bad news on this now.
The good news: They are repairing the car.
The bad news: It won't be ready until at least this time next month which means my brother has to continue enjoying the Vauxhall Zafira hire car until then.

Make sure insurance actually does a good job of it, stomp and shout and all that if it's not up to scratch.. excuse the pun.

Well, finally got the car back last week. Very very impressed with the quality of work carried out, even if it did take a little longer than expected. Brother is happy he's got his car back and is enjoying it once again.
