Welcome to the club. Nice Yellow Celica you have.

Yellow being the best colour.
What difference to the cams make?

Newbie - monkey_matt - 02-01-2020

Well stock, the 2zzge engine needs to be revved hard for any power due to lift (and hence full power) not kicking in until 6200rpm, the stage 2 cams flatten out the torque level allowing me to have full torque from around 4000rpm

and of course Yellow is the best colour, always say any car looks better in Yellow!

Newbie - FirebirdPhil - 02-01-2020

OK thats a good gain, I may have to look into that for ours.

2tongues OK thats a good gain, I may have to look into that for ours.

worth checking the lift bolts at same time and replacing them to the revised shape as well if they arn't already

Newbie - FirebirdPhil - 02-01-2020

It is a 2002 model that had the revised shape - so I have been told, but I don't know for sure. Its only a runabout DD, having lift a little earlier would be good.
