i didnt get the original email,the background first would have been good!!
idont think you stand much chance tbh. its your responsibility to ensure that you are insured to drive. if you didnt get a confirmation email then your not insured.
if you didnt like the price over the phone then cancel within 14 days and you dont have anything to pay.. then take your business elsewhere..
i think you have too much time in your hands..

this is the thing i got the confirmation email twice saying that I WAS insured but still direct line could not find the policies. but my impression was for the three days i was insured with the email as evidence untill i got the paperwork
and i do agree too much time on my hands, i dont think ill get anywhere with it, but dont mind wasting direct lines time as there wasted alot of mine

still waiting for a reply for this, i think direct line are wondering what to say and what excuses to come up with
