Awesome to see (and hear ! :drool: ) your car in the flesh (so to speak) at last. Glad to hear you made it back ok. Sorry if I've missed this in another thread (still catching up), but did it overheat on the way back ? Do you think you've got rid of the air in the system ?

Hi mate, i got back at 8.30pm (do i need to say any more lol) but i will, it over heated before i got out of JAE lol, so i stoped and put some more water in her, and i set of and got on the A14 and it was going ok, i was only doing 50mph and all seemed ok, but all the time i new it was still overheating, i got about 40 mile from jae down the a14 and i pulled into a busstop and just befor i came to a stop it sounded like a bag of nails
, and that was that, the engine had no water in her, and + the oil was way low, so i toped her up with oil and went to start the car and it would not start, i waited and then tryed about 20mins later she would start but no power in her, as i think the heat had done 4 or 5 of the pistonrings and it sounded so bad, i just turned her of and waited for AA just as well i have a 2nd engien sitting here or i would be well pissed off

Hi mate, yea i will fix the engine, once its out of the car and the 2nd engine is fitted
no point haveing me car of the road for more time trying to fix it, may as well fit the 2nd engine and then fix the overheated one when its out of the car that way i can take my time, get all new! bits for it ie" piston & rods and so on, as thats what i was going to do with the 2nd engine any way so now i just do it to this one,i could have this engine out and 2nd one put in over a weekend
im 99% sure it was the waterpump that let go and thats why it overheated! i will know for sure next weekend
