My IS300 story so far.... - jimxms - 22-07-2019 speedfreek Seriously mate, stop posting on this thread. ROFL. Would it make you feel better if I said that at some point in the not so distant future I will probably have to give up my IS300 as a daily driver car and buy a **** 7 seater daddy-mobile? This is just my "get it outta ya system while you can" car, before my kids get too big and start complaining that they have to wrap their legs round the drivers seat in order to fit in :p My IS300 story so far.... - speedfreek - 22-07-2019 A little better. I better get saving then for the big sell!
My IS300 story so far.... - Stoney - 22-07-2019 He said stop using it as a daily driver. He never said he was selling it. lol. Though I know how you feel, and we are not the only ones, Jim is a basterd for inducing jealousy! Jim, I was going to suggest what I think you have already thought of... if varying voltage to the fuel pump is causing problems, then some kind of voltage stabiliser device on the feed should solve it. My IS300 story so far.... - Phil01 - 22-07-2019 the fuel pressure reg should take care of the hi pump pressure at low engine demands My IS300 story so far.... - jimxms - 22-07-2019 Stoney He said stop using it as a daily driver. Stoney Jim, I was going to suggest what I think you have already thought of... if varying voltage to the fuel pump is causing problems, then some kind of voltage stabiliser device on the feed should solve it. Aye. Now the fuel resistor has been deleted it runs full pelt all the time. Its helped my issue but not resolved it entirely. I've moved on to measuring the voltage of the o2 sensors now, but I've no idea what they should be at. They seem to fluctuate wildly. My IS300 story so far.... - speedfreek - 22-07-2019 Stoney He said stop using it as a daily driver. He never said he was selling it. lol. Yet... i'm just getting dibs in. :thumbup1: My IS300 story so far.... - toxo - 22-07-2019 jimxms ^ man can read between the lines. That's what they're supposed to do! They constantly flick around above and below 1V depending on whether the mix is too rich or too lean. My IS300 story so far.... - jay_russell - 22-07-2019 did you put in a fuel return line, this might be the missing link, and a bigger fuel pump and fuel regulator My IS300 story so far.... - jimxms - 23-07-2019 toxo That's what they're supposed to do! They constantly flick around above and below 1V depending on whether the mix is too rich or too lean. Well yeah, I assumed that. But the range seems really large - anything from 0.02v to 0.90v? It jumps all over the place between those values. My IS300 story so far.... - Sparkystav - 23-07-2019 Sounds about right to me mate. |
