another is200 project - john wan - 27-01-2021 I could be wrong but I took it as it being the pipe and flange for second turbo either way wont be needed with the t28 im useing so chop chop its come off a supra another is200 project - Sparkystav - 27-01-2021 I'd personally leave it on just bolt on a blanking plate. If you then change the turbo inthe future for externally gated its simple to do! another is200 project - john wan - 27-01-2021 Im all for the quick easy option was thinkin of just welding a plate over the top but didn't know what the extra pipe would do to the air inside the manifold ie make it bounce around funny and effect the turbo another is200 project - john wan - 31-01-2021 So like ive shown bought a 2jz manifold and the job I was on has finnished so had some time to do some stuff so got to chopping ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not to bad if I do say so myself like I say need to grind up the welds then is done first time ive welded stainless might give it a lick of paint to another is200 project - Sparkystav - 31-01-2021 Still think its a shame you've removed the wastegate pot but it looks a good job mate, certainly a cheaper way to get your own turbo manifold! another is200 project - john wan - 31-01-2021 Yeah 5 600 quid cheaper still got the pipe not to big of a job to stick it back on later if I want also fitted the fcd ![]() An decided to keep the cat for now so made up a pipe to add on it I know people will be say in wtf why get rid but I have my reasons for now ugly I know but need to grind the welds will look way better
another is200 project - Sparkystav - 31-01-2021 How come you went for an FCD and not Patriks box? another is200 project - john wan - 31-01-2021 Dunno spotted it on ebay how much are the boxes? Are they better? Turned the dial yesturday while running brought up the ecu light up is that supposed to happen? another is200 project - Sparkystav - 31-01-2021 The FCD cuts the inlet pressure signal by a percentage right through the range, the lower the number on the dial, the more it cuts it (makes it more lean and dangerous). The black box allows the true signal right through the range till 4.34v then it just continues to send that voltage regardless of the input voltage (inlet pressure). another is200 project - john wan - 31-01-2021 How much and where can I get a black box? |
