Im guessing some sort of foam mask so you dont get a hard edge , easier to flatten and blend?

Sparkystav What's the tube Kelly on the second pic?
Stav it's sticky foam... We use it to mask off areas instead of using masking tape when paint needs to be blended. Comes on a roll
