yeah if you get a warranty on the engine you buy and its a good price you will be much better of mate

... and you might be able to find a better engine, e.g. if your engine has done 120K already and you manage to pick up a used one with only 60K on it ?

If your existing engine has done pretty low mileage though, it might not make sense.

yeah agree with stevie. mine had done 133k so replaced it with a 60k engine so made sense for me.

thanks very much for the link and ideas guys. Ive got the car in the garage getting the work required done on it. £400 for the HG skimmed etc. New timing belt, thermostat.

Got the car back today and everything is running well. Ive to take it back after 500ish miles so the guy can check over everything, make sure all is in order. Big Grin
