I've a friend who's owned at least 3 of those, they are great fun! How long will it be before you fit the 1.8 rear subframe + transmission to stiffen up the back end and add LSD? Wink

And a turbo.

stop ganging up on me! lol Will not fit a turbo, just yet Big Grin

Don't all the imports have lsd's? Or is it just the 1.8?

Pretty sure it's just the 1.8 that has the stock torsen unit. There's loads of extra rear chassis bracing and the rear subframe is a lot beefier as well.

Make sure the battery is clamped down properly!! It's amazing how many of them have dents poking OUT of the rear 1/4 where it's come loose and made a bid for freedom.

Supercharger? Wink

The one i was going to look at before this had a dent where the battery tried to break free lol

Going to look at upgrading to the 1.8 brakes and then maybe look at the chassis/bracing etc later.

No supercharger though, even though i would LOVE one Big Grin

the battery dent is fairly easy to pop back in, but of course its best not to have it in the first place.

Guess if the paint is ok then its just a case of getting dentrix etc to sort it out. The other one also had some rust coming through on the sills/arch's.

Thought it best to find one that had a mint chassis/bodywork and the engine can be improved/changed later. Lots of parts out there Big Grin
