Well.
I put an item on ebay tonight. And it sold within 2 hours. (I expected it to sell next week!!)
I dont even have the item at home yet, so have had to delay delivery by 2 days, forking out another £3, to make the delivery recorded. (Make buyer happy).
I also got charged £1.50 for putting it on ebay.
After all of this i thought, ok. Ive made a tidy profit of around £38 or something.
I then look at paypal and yet another charge of £1.70 or so..... why?! EBAY OWNS YOU!!
So now i only make around £36 or something. Still good, but i was expecting more, since the final value of the product was £44.99 inc Postage.

P.S Will Paypal automatically put the money into my bank, or have i got to do it manually? My credit is £43.70 or something in paypal, so will it go into my bank. Or do i have to go to "Withdraw", and put all my sort number in etc????

Your Poopal account should have your bank account details registered to it,if not you will have to do this 1st.
You thought the fees were steep it also costs to transfer under £50.00 too!!!!!!

Aye. think i got charged £1.
Sorry to bring this thread up again, but i now have an ebay invoice....
Buy it now fee: 25p
Aucion fee: £1 (For putting it on ebay).
Selling Fee: £4 (Because im a private seller, ebay think its ok to take 10% of the selling price off me.... wtf).
So now my final fee is £5.25 + £1 for paypal. So £44 - £2 (I lost on postage). = £42.
= £42 - £5.25 = £36.75 - £1.50 Paypal = £35.25....... So basically, ive list nearly £10 ffrom nothing...................................
Ebay is now over for me!!

eBay will one day drown in its own ****, but until then, they have the monopoly and we're all stuck with them and PayPal.
They own the Gumtree websites now aswell, and even though the adverts are still free, you can no longer 'bump' them like you could, although they've forgotten to change the email you get telling you how to do it.
