Hmm this is interesting, although it doesn't seem to do anything on mine. Found the way to switch the file previewer on and off, and that's in "Tools", "Trust Center", "Attachment Handling" but there's no option for Photoshop, the only image related one is "Microsoft Office Outlook image previewer" and that's the one it uses.
Interested now to know how it can open different programs like Paint etc. while still within the outlook reading pane (or message window)...........

Not a lot of help back from the tech forum I'm afraid Phil:

I have reverted back to before the last update from Windows 7 and it looks like that caused the issues?
