What turbo is that? What was the actual work that you had done as it looks like new camgears too so does that mean uprated cams or was it more for asthetic reasons? You keeping the gears open?

Hi mate, been away so just seen this.
the turbos a GT3071R.
The cam gears have been there for a while mate, though ive new cam covers as well now.
and yeah keeping them open for now as the cam gear is hybrid between the FE and GTE so neither cover will fit.

at the moment, yes standard cams, but got some new cams working their way over from Oz on the slow boat

Nothing too special. There just the cams from the 1G-GE engine, they have a tiny bit more lift and a longer duration surprisingly!

This is what the difference is supposedly:
1G-GTE cams have : 7.3mm lift and 194 degrees duration.
1G-GE cams have : 7.5mm lift and 205 degrees duration.

shouldnt be a lot, but along with the adjustable cam gears should help through the mid range and maybe a tiny bit top end?
