My New IS V8 Build - Lexusboy - 15-03-2018 These only look good imo if the car has the rest of the body kit on as well. Was the second picture the colour you were looking for Asi? My New IS V8 Build - steviewevie - 15-03-2018 Have you got side skirts to tie these together Asi ? As Lexusboy says, I think the look of these arches will be very sensitive to what other body kit you have on - it could look great or it could look out of place IMHO. Keep the updates coming ! My New IS V8 Build - Bandit - 15-03-2018 Sounds good matey, monster mat has the data systems arch's on his motor? were the ones i was looking at when i had my IS200, but i went a different way :thumbup1: My New IS V8 Build - Sparkystav - 15-03-2018 ormi stav you got a pic with your number plate to the side? Here you go mate
My New IS V8 Build - Dan_Turism0 - 15-03-2018 hmm I like the wider arches but imo they need to be blended or it just looks like some halfrauds stick ons sorry
My New IS V8 Build - Asi - 15-03-2018 looks nice stav. well yeah you can blend them in but the problem is after a while the paint between the arch extension and wings will start cracking and then would need repainting. if that was not the case would have got them blended in mate. i want wider wheels but not too keen on the arches the way they look without being blended in confuses me My New IS V8 Build - Bandit - 15-03-2018 Blended quite a few set of arch mouldings on in the past mate, (all mini's) and think i only ever had one set crack the paint, which was my own fault for jumping off a bridge cared: as long as there fixed to the body very well, then fill the gap with a good flexible filler then an overlay of fibreglass single layer(very thin) i'd think you'd be ok as i bet the Lexus doesn't flex/twist as much as the old minis?
My New IS V8 Build - Fozzy - 15-03-2018 To add extra strength where the arch overlaps, the old metal arch underneath can be cut and feathered out to meet the underside of the new arch extension. This then has a layer of fibreglass to bond it all together. If this is done properly, there should be no meovement between the two arches My New IS V8 Build - Asi - 15-03-2018 right i see. will look into it My New IS V8 Build - Sparkystav - 15-03-2018 Asi looks nice stav. thanks mate, but think my intercooler may need replacing, as the fins on the front are very brittle |
