2tongues yes ours was scary at speed, I think the power steering being constantly on was the main issue, rather then the lift?

mine had the variable p/s lighter when parking moving slow and got heavy when moving faster..

Yeah that's what most of them have, but the speedo converters on imports **** it up so the ratio of assistance to speed is completely wrong and it stays on at high speeds.
