Heard too many horror stories about buying second hand engines on eBay
much rather have the peace of mind knowing that I rebuilt it myself an I know it's a decent engine. Thanks for pointing it out though

He is better of building it his way as the black top and siliver top engines shared weaknesses and strengths n their designs. Combining the two will create a very capable engine.
I have seen these engine generating 240 BHP at 11,000RPM.

I would not want my engine to be doing 11,000rpm for very long. Surely a turbo would be better, just put the supercharged 4ag(z?)e rods in and crank up the boost. The 20v must make more than 240 with a small turbo.

Depends on what your application is.
My FC20 in my S2000 is 240 BHP at 9000 rpm and the rev range suits the wheel base and suspension set of of the car.
A long legged RPM build up can sometimes be better then straight forwrad grunt. But as I stated its all about the application.

Just read through the thread and I have to say she's a beauty! Well done on not ruining it either - these are just too rare to ruin with the likes of sticker bombing etc etc :lol:

No, the 20 Valves are more than capable of 240BHP without being FA's
