wax polish? - Voodoo Vix - 13-01-2020 speedfreek Oh don't you worry about that - not my first rodeo I had a feeling not but I was so desperate to do the zed when I first got it (on the hot days in April last year) that I decided it would be fine, the products totally baked on and I had to keep spraying detailer on it just to remove the stuff, I learnt my lesson the hard way lol wax polish? - nimrodmk3 - 13-01-2020 My dad used to add Paraffin to clean water to finish cleaning motor bikes, bikes had a lot more chrome then,I,m not suggesting you do it to your cars though. wax polish? - Almost Finished - 13-01-2020 Before i knew how to clean my car she lived in an automatic car wash , she had that many swirls marks she looked like an advert for spirograph
wax polish? - eogbaker - 13-01-2020 I use a wide variety of stuff. I use chemical guys citrus was http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/Chemical_Guys_Citrus_Wash_N_Gloss_p/citwglos.htm If it has been a while since I last did the car I then use Clay bar. My current clay bar is a Meguirs one then polishes I use Meguiars. If you have massive swirls use their Swirl X. If it has just been a while and paint needs a bit of bringing up I use Ultimate Compound Or normal use (once to twice a month) step 2 deep crystal polish. Waxes DODO JUICE....... Probably the best wax I have used to date. I use purple haze but obviously you get one to match the colour of your car. Also dont get a big pot as the wax lasts for ever. I bought a big pot thinking it would get used very quickly and I have barely even touched the surface of it wax polish? - nimrodmk3 - 13-01-2020 I've gone the Meguiars route,Smooth Surface Clay Kit,Crystal Paint Cleaner,Ultimate Polish and Gold Class Liquid Wax,if it's not to windy will have a go this weekend and let you know what I think of the results
wax polish? - Voodoo Vix - 13-01-2020 eogbaker I use a wide variety of stuff. Hi mate, this should be the other way round as the Ultimate Compound has more cut, the SwirlX is for lighter swirls and UC for the heavier marks, swirls and scratches wax polish? - eogbaker - 13-01-2020 To be honest with you that is how I was recommended to use them by a really good detailer so not saying it is right or wrong but just more how I have been advised to use them. Apparently the swirl X is specific for swirls but the ultimate is more for say faded paint or dull looking paint. Personally I have never had to use Swirl X as dont let my car get to that point lol... wax polish? - nimrodmk3 - 17-01-2020 I am pretty happy with the results of my labour not perfect but the paint was not prior to it with touch up paint on stone chips etc, next up Bens MR2 as the paint is older I am expecting it to be even more of a transformation
wax polish? - Lexuspat - 17-01-2020 Just out of curiosity where can I get a touch up pen wax polish? - Voodoo Vix - 17-01-2020 These are supposed to be pretty good, but I've never used them http://www.paints4u.com/productsByCat.aspx?MainCategoryID=6&SubCategoryID=42 Failing that, Mike got his bike ones of ebay and they're fine |
