Vuvuzelas....ban or not...what do you think?? - SHAHZ - 04-05-2018

OneOf300 Was going to change the belts but can't be bothered to do myself, Brother might be coimg over from the states and I might get him to buy me one of those fancy Gates timing belts. Apart from that just a local who can give it the once over every now and then.

Having owed many Alfa's I got use to having a friendly good mechanic on my side:wink:

Back on topic.......I'll be wandering the streets of Leyton tonight with my Brazil top minus the vuvuela and any drums.

 i guess you know more than a few mechanics then:laugh:.....you have PM mateSmile

Hurricane Mini meet sounds good.

If i have to put a car in a garage, which is a very rare occasion, as i prefer to do the work myself, i use a garage over towards Ilford. It is called Coventry Service Station. Its run by a mate of mine, i only have my MOT's done there, but he is the only person id trust to work on my car

It is the best way, ive got a mate that was a mechanic and i used get the info i needed from him and used to do it myself....great feeling once its done and as youve learned something new and you know youve saved a packet....just dont have the time anymoreConfusedad:

Im not saying ban them

jsut saying moderate the use

encorporate the vuvezelas into the atmosphere with other things like chanting etc that viewers can hear!!!

Well ever since i got my first car, ive dona all work myself. About 6 months after i passed my test i was rebuilding engine number one after blowing it up. Only time one of my cars have gone into a garge for work was for a clutch, as i didnt have time to fit it.

Working on cars is second nature to me now. I even studied motorsport engineering at Uni, not that im using any of that these days.

Anyway were drifting a little off topic in here, i think we should pull it back, or we may get in trouble :Sulk:

Has anyone actually got a vuvuzela? Is it that they are very loud or is it that just about everyone in the stadiums has one.............Perhaps someone could do one of those One Hit Wonders using a vuvuzela!! Perish the thought:Shooting:

OneOf300 I'll keep my eye's open Shaz, might be a bit scared looking at aa blacked out Lexus or I might get some gangsta " what u looking at" type.

Perhaps any East London Lexus could meet up, a local Show and Tell?? - By the way, does a garage look after your car as looking for a recommedation?

A good garage is in Rayleigh and they can borrow you a car if you ask when booking for a very small charge (around £5 to cover insurance) they are called Westfield Motors they do a first class job each time.
If you use them ask for Chris or Ian the owners.
