:( oh dear - Moley - 10-09-2018 Sorry but I cant see the logic here, you could get rid of the lex and save money each month on fuel and car payments, but you are going to spend about £700 on getting it sorted. when you could pay the £550 and get what you wanted. Even though you had to put the £550 on you're credit card :( oh dear - Carpediem - 13-09-2018 Moley Sorry but I cant see the logic here, you could get rid of the lex and save money each month on fuel and car payments, but you are going to spend about £700 on getting it sorted. when you could pay the £550 and get what you wanted. 1) because i dont have a credit card 2) because i re-qouted insurance with the addition of a claim and no-one would insure me on even a 1.9 astra for less than £1,800, which would completely negate the whole effort and leave me another £40 a month worse off in the long run, this way will save me the most moneys :( oh dear - Carpediem - 16-09-2018 Well my new sill moulding has arrived, in the right colour and pristine condition, £36 aint bad iscoStu:Now jsut to find a **** door!! :( oh dear - parthiban - 16-09-2018 That's a result! :( oh dear - Carpediem - 16-09-2018 yeah after lexus wanted £300  have found a door at A1 auto-salvage they reckon is right colour but they cant get photos to me, and im not paying to have it shipped here to find 1)its bad condition and needs repairing and 2) its not the right blue........ are there any stickers on the door that say what colour it is? guess i could take a chance? :( oh dear - steviewevie - 16-09-2018 Carpediem are there any stickers on the door that say what colour it is? guess i could take a chance? No, the paint code is only on the panel in the engine bay, as far as I'm aware. As you say, with blue you need to be careful because there are two very similar blues ! Can you find out the age of the car it came off ? :( oh dear - BOOSST - 16-09-2018 as above, Gap insurance is relevant on write offs. But firstly, no one was hurt, thats the most important thing FULL STOP ! Second, the market on car sales in dealerships is poor, so you can gaurantee they will bend over backwards to help yopu sort it :thumbup1: :( oh dear - Carpediem - 16-09-2018 dunno what year its off, yeah theres peral blue (mine) and midnight blue :( oh dear - steviewevie - 16-09-2018 Sorry, I'm being dumb, this is an IS220 right ? I was thinking of the IS200. But if the same is true on the IS220 then presumably they changed shade at a particular date/year ? :( oh dear - Carpediem - 16-09-2018 erm, not a clue lol just got a qoute from A1 Jap Spares for £300, all in, just wiating photos then gunna barter them down |
