Dark Samurai Right guys, i have a confession, we didnt get the boot spoiler off ebay, we got it off our very own 2tongues.

Shame you didn't buy the head unit for £50, I sold it on Ebay for £125 to a guy with a bottom loading broken one and with the further purchase of the correct plugs from a top loading unit, it went straight in and works 100% as it should have done even sat nav works. Top loading and bottom loading are interchangeable. Shame I didn't know that when I had it to sell, really shouldn't believe everything you read on LOC regarding head-units.:glare:

But mate yours was an SE, with amp not fitted inside, ours was S with amp inside, therefore it wouldnt work

I sold my old S stereo on ebay for £160 when i removed it, luckily i took it out the car before the dreaded error code got it!

No ALL SE's have the amp. mine certainly did, all S's don't have the amp. thats why it wouldn't fit - it all comes back to me now.

Talking EXTERNAL amp here.

Thats true. So with the external amp, the heavy sun roof and the extra speakers its a wonder the car moves at all:laugh: The "S" must be a rocket ship by comparison.

i know, and mine has 18's but im just saying that the s has 16's as standard so is even lighter than the other barge models Big Grin

So, update time:
Since my post, we have now fitted a double din unit made my xtrons, with reverse camera, ipod inputs, rca inputs, usb input.
