I started properly fitting the archs, this is a scary moment cutting into my arches!

But the first arch is now bolted on, and ive filled it with sealant underneath now, need that to dry and check it doesnt move so i can start filling and smoothing.

Also think ive finished the smoothing off as far as im going, bought some sanding blocks the other day and they really do make the world of difference!

Also got the head back from being cleaned and have the valves lapped in, starting to look more like an engine again. Just need to re-torque the head tomorrow before refitting the cams etc. Took me ages to put the head back together though, i HATE the little tiny collets that hold the valves in, proper fiddly!

finally by new ingenious water bottle lol:

i'll fill it with the blue pipe, which will be hidden behind the headlight.
and im fitting a small water sensor in the bottle so i know when its full as i wont be able to see it hidden in the arch.

next step once the engine is rebuilt is to fit all the sensors im keeping them measure their distances from the back of the engine so i can finish the wiring loom.
oh and paint the engine bay lol

Feels like I'm starting to get somewhere now.
Still not started the other arch or the interior wiring yet though. But I'm getting there at last.
