That's exactly it Toxo, as well as front left and right switched about, and the rear speakers both go to the left hand speaker!?

The pics look the same as the one I fixed for andymunro. Except both his we're attached to the permanent live not the switched one. And if you notice there is two earths, though one of them traces back to the "mute" wire on the oem stereo so no idea why it's earthed!

Thanks for the help guys, that gives me enough ammunition to return the thing back and ask for a full refund.
I will order the real deal from ebay, don't mind paying the extra $$$ knowing there is much less margin of failure.

Only just round to logging on since Sat, and yeah it was a right mess! I've never had issues fitting stereos up until this bypass lead. Sparkystav did a brilliant job rewiring it, I'd have never in a lifetime figured out how to get it working.
When you by an autoleads loom, you just expect them to be right!

Well just for an update, i recieved the new bypass lead and it works a treat!
I have contacted previous ebay seller to advise of the issues and they have seemingly refunded me in full and not even asked for me to return the cable back. Either shows good customer service, or that they were aware of this issue with the cables.
Either way i'm happy that i'm up and running and saved allegedly £100 that local stereo store was going to charge for install!

Yes that would be a great idea! It does seem a bit too suspicious that 2 leads in one week have the build quality of a chocolate fire guard.
£130 quid and a 6 hour install I was quoted before Stav helped me out Shuggy!

Yeah the lead would have went in the bin so I don't mind sending it to you Sparky. Just PM me where you want it sent to and ill get it out on Monday.
Andy - I was actually quoted £150, but that included cable + Fascia, or £100 if I had bought the head unit through them.
That although doesnt come close to the pride & satisfaction you get from doing the work yourself!
Next step now, is to refurb the alloys - that should be fun!!
