just got my Galaxy S and have to say it's absolutely awesome, although 1 thing that pee's me off is people coming up to me saying is that the iPhone 4? :Chair:

Funny thing happened at the weekend, met up with a mate who recently bought an iPhone4, he's the definitive iPhone type, doesn't know a lot about tech but enough to want stuff so the obvious choice is the iPhone.
Played with my Galaxy S for about 5 minutes, and was amazed, went as far as saying it was much better than his iPhone - says he'll be getting android when his contract's up :w00t:
Is yours running quite smooth then? Which firmware is it on, are the new ones out on JM1?

was a bit slow in the first couple of days but running smooth as now mate.Couple of queries I've seen in market place various browsers and anti-viruses would you recommend any? Advanced Task Killer has helped my battery loads

Cool, I'm still on the custom JG5 which is running fine so think I'll just wait until Froyo is released but I have heard that the properly released JM1 has improved things a lot.
I use lookout for anti-virus, I think the android browser is the best one but you try and few and see what you think. Yep advanced task killer is useful, and if I know I'm going to have a long day I use juice defender as well as that really stretches out the battery.

just checked on samfirmware and XJP3 is on there but think I would rather wait until Froyo is officially released as i've heard it's a bit buggy.

Yep a few people have tried JP3 and it's got problems so haven't bothered to go for that. If a newer ironed out version comes along I'll try it otherwise I'll wait for the official version.

fair play, lookout seems really good, I am really impressed with the Galaxy S even in comparison to friends iPhones, can't honestly see why you would pay the £150 or whatever it is for the iPhone 4 when the Galaxy S is available
