IS200 Se mk2!!!! - James S - 21-03-2019 Got my Iridium plugs and K&N filter in the other day. So car is running a bit smoother. Although its the first time I have really got a close up of the engine bay, and its not in the best of states. Everything is filthy and perishing. Starting to miss my old motor now, that was in great condition considering it was the same age as my current IS. Never been big on cleaning my engine bay as I do too many miles for it to last! But can see a mountian of work on this one. Will certainly not be lifting the hood if I make it to any shows this year! IS200 Se mk2!!!! - Bandit - 21-03-2019 Quick and easy way to do it mate, is spray the engine bay all over with tyre foam, leave it for a couple of minutes and then wipe off, you'll be surprised at how easy it is and what it looks like after? :thumbup1: IS200 Se mk2!!!! - Lexusboy - 21-03-2019 Or wait to JAE and get Bandit to show you how:laugh: IS200 Se mk2!!!! - Bandit - 21-03-2019 Lexusboy Or wait to JAE and get Bandit to show you how:laugh: Don't mind mate as you know  and i bet yours needs doing again now  IS200 Se mk2!!!! - James S - 21-03-2019 Be a bit worried about using anything mate. All the cable sheilding is cracking. Defo a good idea waiting till JAE though!
IS200 Se mk2!!!! - Bandit - 21-03-2019 Don't mind doing it for you mate  might go and do mine now while i'm thinking about it :thumbup1: IS200 Se mk2!!!! - James S - 21-03-2019 Could you engine bay get any cleaner? LOL! IS200 Se mk2!!!! - Bandit - 21-03-2019 James S Could you engine bay get any cleaner? LOL! Yeh it could at the moment mate, its a right mess :Chair: IS200 Se mk2!!!! - James S - 26-04-2019 Haven't had chance to get these pics up recently. But had my windows tinted as a lovely present from my g/f. ![]() ![]() ![]() Really impressed with how well it was done, and how much it improves the looks of the car. Still got a huge list of things to do, but totally skint at the minute, so progress is slow. Keep putting small jobs off too, as I want to wait till I have got some coilovers, tempted to just get lowering springs though, as its going to be a while till I can get some. Got another couple of bits getting done in next few days, will try get pics up asap.
IS200 Se mk2!!!! - Phil01 - 26-04-2019 James, spend £100 on lowering springs and when you have enough money for coilovers then sell the lowered springs. £500 for coilovers is a lot to find on one mod. I fitted 35-40mm springs on mine and have not looked backed, do not even want coil overs now. |
