Well i had a touch of luck today.
found a new diff from a scrapyard on ebay.
went to pick it up and they were still removing it from the car. Has a look round and realised it was a Sport!
i thought i was getting a standard one and already had my old one apart to swap the LSD bit into the standard one but i didnt need to.
Also while i was there pocketed a couple of other bits i needed, like a spare AC panel for a project, a replacement ECU cover cause mines got a dent in it, and a Airbox badge for the steering wheel mod.
Anyway got the diff home and spent the afternoon changing the oil in the new one and fitting it. all is good with the car now! got a slight rattle but the exhaust just needs a small adjustment. but no awful grinding/whining noise now when i drive.
feel so relived its been annoying me for ages!

Rewire front Amp
Fit rev lights
Fit DAB aerial
Fit screws to Speedo surround
Make up FCD
Fit remote and decide on actions
New Power supply for camera
Fit Playstation on board
Fit somewhere to store PS2 Controls (clips on doors?)
Fit new Drop links
Make Front mounted inlet
Fit Adjustable Cam Gears Decided to spray them first
Speedo Mod Started, evolved
Change EGT gauge lights to blue DONE!
Fit EGT gauge and sensor Sensor fitted, gauge needs a proper mounting
Decide on single Turbo or refurb twins cost dependant
Get single manifold ceramic coated
get adaptor to fit wastegate
Spray cam covers
Finally one down lol
